I have travelled through Japan, at least a dozen times since I moved to Singapore, but never left the airport. I finally stopped and explored a little of this magnificent country. I was completely blown away! The people, the culture, the food and the countryside are all amazing. I will definitely go back to explore some more. I thought I loved sushi before I went but now realise I didn't have a clue what real sushi tasted like. The fatty tuna is incredible and
normally I would avoid tempura – greasy, thick batter, yuck - but in Tokyo, it is so light and delicate, not greasy at all. The tempura egg yolk....OMG sensational!
