CHINA
Jiangnan Paradise. I feel very privileged to have experienced a different perspective of China, that most tourists, especially westerners, do not have the opportunity to discover. By getting away from the cities and going into the rural areas, not only do you feel as if you have moved back to a time before the world got so hectic, but the sheer beauty of the country is breathtaking. The local people were very welcoming and friendly but the best part was the group I travelled with - I haven’t laughed so much or so continuously for year! Our very talented leaders, William & Albert, were like a double act and kept us amused from morning to night. I will definitely book another trip. I am already trying to work out how I can fit a trip to Mongolia and a Safari into my schedule! I mustn’t forget to mention the food. I actually suspect this was more of a food tour than a photography tour! Everything revolved around the food and I am not surprised as it was delicious and plentiful - fresh local ingredients and traditional cooking. Luckily, I am comfortable using chopsticks so I don’t think I let myself down!
